Grocery shopping is one of life’s necessities. Some of us love it, some of us hate it, but like it or not, ya gotta do it. But what do you even by? Maybe you’re like us and glance into people’s baskets at the store for inspiration or maybe you idly scroll Pinterest each week looking for suggestions. This week we’re breaking down different types of grocery hauls, the every week, the pantry staples, and the foods we buy but shouldn’t. Give it a listen and then let us know your must buy food items so we can all make the best out of our grocery trips.

Every Week:

  • Fruit (berries, bananas, limes)

  • Veggies (zucchini, peppers, sweet potatoes)

  • Meat (pork shoulder, pork roast, turkey, ribs, chicken)

  • Eggs

  • Cauliflower rice (Trader Joe’s, specifically)

  • Food Should Taste Good Multigrain Chips (they’re great on their own, with hummus, cheese, pimento cheese, guac... the options are endless)

  • So Delicious Vanilla Coconut Creamer

Necessities:

  • Rice (a staple for meatballs and stir fry in The Baty House)

  • Olive oil/coconut oil

  • Vanilla pudding (so KB can always make these chocolate chip cookies)

  • Peanut butter and bread

  • Garlic salt/basil/oregano (all three spices make this recipe a staple in The Aldinger House)

  • Soy sauce/coconut aminos

  • Brown sugar

Things We Buy, But Shouldn’t:

  • Ice cream

  • Poptarts (brown sugar, please!)

  • Chex Mix//Doritos

  • Hi Ball

  • Cheez Its

  • Dove Chocolate
