Episode 18: Love It Or Bucket List It

Episode 18: Love It Or Bucket List It

The sun is out, the grill is on, The Bachelorette is back-summer is finally here! This week, we’re sharing all our hopes and dreams for summer 2017 and the ways we plan to make the most out of these next few months. From pool days, to beach reads, mouth watering recipes to try, and more, tune in to hear our summer goals and get inspired to make your own!

  1. KA-  Work. Pool. Sleep. Repeat.  Summer means taking advantage of having a pool within walking distance by laying out ALL THE TIME. Find yourself a pool, a beach, or a sprinkler and soak up the sun this summer, my friends!

  2. KB- Host a wine tasting, but not just any wine tasting, a rosé wine tasting! Invite some girlfriends, each one can bring their own bottle and cheese pairing, and celebrate summer the basic white girl way.

  3. KA- Read as many light and fluffy beach reads as possible. Summer is not the time to push your reading limits, summer is the time for funny, light hearted reads. On the docket: Talking As Fast As I Can, Scrappy Little Nobody,  and I Don’t Know What You Know Me From: Confessions Of A Costar.

  4. KB- Mindless, readable rom-coms will be on rotation this summer with Sophie Kinsella and Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants. Hopefully joining Jamie Ivey’s book club will balance out these reads with some nonfiction picks, but there ain’t nothin’ wrong with a little Shopaholic reading.

  5. KA- Embrace a Paleo adjacent diet. Living within the confines of any diet where bread is not allowed is not a diet worth participating in. Being able to get by eating meat and veggies while not completely abandoning cheese is the perfect dietary sweet spot.

  6. KB- In the vain of health, summer is the perfect time to start Sunday Sanity Runs  (thanks, Jess Connolly) as a way to recenter and refocus each week.

  7. KA and KB- Explore our cities and everything they have to offer. Houston has a great resource for discovering activities all around the city and there are lots of websites and Facebook groups only a Google search away for finding out what’s going on in your area this summer.

  8. KA- Become immersed in the madness that is The Bachelorette. Thankfully, Knox and Jamie are here to provide their weekly episode recaps for an entertaining viewpoint on THE MOST DRAMATIC SEASON YET.
