Episode 6: Maximize Your Minutes: Because You Have As Many Hours In A Day As Beyonce
As 20-30 something women, one of our biggest struggles is figuring out how to do it all. The truth is, being able to do it all is a myth. You may have as many hours in a day as Beyonce, but you don’t have her nanny, or her glam team, or her private jet. HOWEVER, we have compiled a list of ways to maximize your minutes in order to relieve some of the stress of day to day life. We also share some ways we struggle to make this happen, because in the words of Hannah Montana, nobody’s perfect...
It’s hard to find a balance when it comes to time management because each day brings its own unique challenges- give yourself grace because you just can’t do everything all the time.
However, if you plan plan plan, you can be more efficient throughout your day. Plan as much as you possibly can.
Use Sundays, or one day of the week, to get things done to prepare for your week.
Know yourself- what days are best for you to get things done? Do you need time to decompress after work before cooking dinner or do you hit the ground running and rest when it’s all done?
Leave margin in your morning, whether that’s to read, or work out, or whatever gets you ready for your day.
Get up the first time your alarm goes off!
Don’t get on social media first thing in the morning.
Committing to things after work is hard (#struggles)
To maximize your minutes, give yourself a break (AKA “Frozen Pizza Fridays”)
Use your commute to get things done (not changing your clothes whilst driving, but make phone calls, listen to podcasts, listen to audiobooks, etc.)
Batch cooking and meal prep sound good in theory but are hard practices to implement for those of us who haven’t mastered the low chignon.
Do things a little at a time or as needed instead of waiting until the last minute and stressing to get it done. This is easier said than done, but the Norwex rag is here to help!
