Episode 8: Raindrops on Roses: These Are A Few Of Our Favorite *Spring* Things

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens and white peach sangria and open toe booties. That’s how the song goes, right? Well, that’s how our song goes this spring. In this week’s episode, we are sharing our sixteen absolute favorite things about the upcoming season: things that will brighten and lighten your days. Stay tuned til the end of the episode where we share, discuss, and reflect on some of YOUR favorite spring things.

  1. If you wanna look sunkissed and take care of your skin, lather this on each morning: Origins Vitazing Moisturizer. *BONUS: it’s tinted AND has spf 15. Your 50 year old self will thank us.

  2. You can’t have the ultimate spring wardrobe until you get yourself some open toe booties. And if you want to be comfortable while flaunting your fashion and also save a few bucks, try these Nordstrom dupes

  3. Bobby Flay really delivered on this one. Try his white peach sangria recipe for the quintessential patio drank. Tip: DO NOT add the simple syrup. Ya just don’t need it, because it’s sweet enough.

  4. Perrier Grapefruit Sparkling Water is the perfect spring drink/mid-afternoon pick me up for those of us trying to kick that pesky Red Bull habit. Plus, it’s bright green + pale pink color combo meld two of our spring faves into one, and what’s better than something that looks AND tastes like spring?

  5. KB is a personal fan of Starbucks’ vanilla sweet cream cold brew coffee (minus two pumps of vanilla), but any cold brew coffee is perfection for spring. Sip it while afternoon shopping or afternoon working for a little extra *zing.* You can also make your own using this nifty contraption.

  6. Patios, and dogs, and being outside. Summed up: patio weather. What’s better than sitting on a patio, sipping a margarita, enjoying some chips and salsa, watching active people run with their dogs? You get the best of both worlds: living vicariously through those runners while relishing in the curative powers of Mexican food and sunshine.

  7. Ed Sheeran’s new album, Divide, is EVERYTHING. End of story.

  8. If you’re looking for a fun song to blast while driving around with the windows down, KA recommends Trey Songz “Nobody Else But You”

  9. Joanna Gaines could probably be our spirit animal, and everything about the beautiful magazine, The Magnolia Journal, she and her team have curated is delicious to our eyes and hearts.

  10. There’s nothing better than sitting on the porch with a good book on a nice spring day. Book of the Month Club has some stellar picks over the past few months that KA can’t wait to try. Specifically, Perfect Little World, All Grown Up, Dead Letters, and Behold The Dreamers

  11. For a super quick pick me up each time you open your computer or turn on your phone, download one of these May Designs wallpapers. They have new ones each month, so we can’t wait to see what April brings!

  12. Can we get an amen for soft cotton pajamas and undergarments in general? Soma is your one stop shop for spring comfort galore.

  13. Lavender is the new black. You’ll see it in sweaters, tees, skirts, trinkets and tchotchkes. Mark. My. Word.

  14. If lavender is the new black, emerald + pale pink is the new black and white. Maybe that’s a stretch, but it’s a fun combo to freshen up your spring wardrobe and decor.

  15. We love a rainy night, and springtime in Texas brings about a lot of rainy nights.

  16. This may a pretty inclusive list item, but KA is just really excited to be a Texas resident again come April! Here’s to being back in the land of Mexican food, Dr. Pepper, George Strait, and 80 mph speed limits!
